The BugWorld Experience Chooses LeisurePOS

Opened in July 2009, The BugWorld Experience at Albert Dock, Liverpool, has chosen the Gamma solution to manage the key operational aspects of the attraction and produce comprehensive and accurate management information.

The first of it’s kind in the UK, it is a completely unique tourist attraction that gives visitors the chance to see the world through a bug’s eyes. There are seven zones of the world to explore and the attraction aims to inform visitors about the way in which insects have an impact on our environments, their diversity and how we need them for our survival. With professional insect handlers and handcrafted landscapes and studios, the attraction offers a unique experience to visitors of all ages.

The BugWorld Experience opted for the following modules:

Bookings and Event Management
Retail Point of Sale
Catering Point of Sale
Stock Control
Web Bookings Interface

In addition, integrated Chip & PIN and back office customer not present credit/debit card software was included as part of the solution. Integration with the attraction’s SAGE Accounts software product was also part of the project requirement.
