Chatsworth House Choose Gamma

Gamma Dataware are delighted to announce that Chatsworth House in Derbyshire have chosen to invest in a number of integrated modules from the LeisurePOS platform.

The home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and standing proudly in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, Chatsworth continues to be one of Britain’s most popular destinations for culture, heritage and family entertainment. It has been the home of the Cavendish family since Bess of Hardwick settled at Chatsworth in 1549.

Many famous people have come to Chatsworth, some to stay and others to live there. Among the most famous are Mary Queen of Scots, who was there as a guest and prisoner of Bess of Hardwick and her fourth husband, the Earl of Shrewsbury, between 1573 and 1582. Another was Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, who lived there in a famous 'menage a trois' with the 5th Duke and Lady Elizabeth Foster in the late 18th century.

The house itself is magnificent, while the gardens are a treat, and the surrounding park is a superb area of open space with fine scenery, woods and views of the house and surrounding area - an excellent place for relatively gentle walks.

Integrated Chip & PIN and back office customer not present credit/debit card software was included as part of the solution as was an interface with an existing SAGE Accounts software product.
