Booking

Bookings are made against user defined resources and the information required on a booking is determined by the type of resource. Therefore as an example, a booking for a day visitor would simply require details of the person making the booking, the date of the visit and ticket types required, whereas a booking for a corporate event would require much more detail such as catering requirements, room set-up and so on.

The booking system produces any number of confirmation letters and/or tickets that can be sent to the visitor in advance.

Events such as seminars and lectures can also be configured where individual attendees book to attend the event.

The booking module incorporates on-line credit card authorisation for those paying in advance and can also produce invoices for credit/travel trade clients.

General enquires can also be recorded in the system, which includes a diary option for staff to follow-up any number of actions on both enquiries and actual bookings.

Flexible reporting allows the production of booking lists, catering schedules, income analysis and customer sales analysis. The system has its own built-in report writer for ad-hoc reports.

An optional web interface module allows operators to link their existing web content to the live booking database in order that web based bookings can be validated against event capacities where necessary.
